Flintshire firm CRT Recycling Ltd to close in Environment Agency row
Cathode ray tube reprocessor CRT Recycling Ltd is seeking insolvency advice, claiming that new Environment Agency rules regarding the storage of broken CRT glass have forced it out of business.
The guidance states: “Any broken CRTs must be handled in an enclosed environment with appropriate systems to ensure that any fluorescent coatings/leaded glass dust released are contained, collected and subsequently managed properly.”
The rules and regulations are getting tighter and tighter to protect the environment. However, the industry is still not as regulated as we, here at UK IT Recycling Ltd would like, which is why we continually campaign for tougher regulations to protect the environment.
